It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Burbank CA….
Crazy as it may seem, the Holiday Season is fast approaching.
I told my husband that we are approaching the Holiday Season and he didn’t take it very well. See, the grass , finally, filled back in where the inflatable spider from Halloween sat for the full month of October last year. He finally got the garage back in shape from all the Christmas lights we put on the house. We (oops, really HE) put up over 2000 feet of lights – and as a result we (oops, again, HE) won the city wide holiday decorating contest. Our guest list for Thanksgiving has grown every year – it poses a challenge – last year we (ok…ok…HE) fried 45 pounds of turkey. My role in our holiday celebrations is gigantic as well, shopping, cooking, decorating and entertaining. I LOVE IT – he doesn’t.
I think he really does, but just doesn’t want to admit it. If I told him we would not be decorating in our usual way this year, or have our Halloween, Thanksgiving, or Christmas parties, I think he would be sad. I hate to disappoint my husband….Ever….
So we shall keep up the tradition, as the English say, “Buck up – Man, Buck up”.
As my youngest says, “LOVE is the answer”
So, Love ya –
Have a great week!
