How ‘Walkable’ is your Burbank CA., Neighborhood?
When deciding where to live and work in the Burbank, and surrounding areas, there is a great new tool called “Know your Transit Score”. Go to the website: www.walkscore.com – type in your address and get your score. This website provides customer commute reports and a home transportation cost calculator to help you gauge the proximity of public transportation to a select address. Transit Score also rates an address on a scale of zero to 100 to indicate how easy it is to walk to restaurants, stores and transportation from your home.
After typing in various addresses all over Burbank, Ca., I was surprised to see how ‘walk’ friendly and commute friendly our great city is. We got scores as high as 86 out of 100 for the Magnolia Park area. Not a surprise, as Magnolia Park is the “IT” area to live. Great schools, antique stores, restaurants, close to the studios, you name it!
