My orange tree, in Burbank Ca., is a good illustration of how nature can forget the word “moderation”. This tree is prolific – it produces bushels and bushels of navel oranges, only once per year – but when it does – Katie bar the door.
This year we had an especially large crop, so many that our tree was groaning under the weight. We have a group of people who wait for our oranges every year. We pick them, bag them and give them away. This year, we have picked, picked and picked and still have tons to pick. Our usual ‘orange recipients have asked that we stop sending them oranges – they are still trying to eat them all.
You probably are wondering how an orange tree relates to real estate – right?
